On 7th September 2026, WUSC/Azuansi Farm Institute took another important step toward promoting sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment among refugees at the Krisan Refugee Camp by supporting beneficiaries with 500 fowls under a poultry farming initiative. The support forms part of an ongoing poultry project aimed at providing refugees with practical opportunities to develop their poultry farming skills, generate income, and improve their economic self-reliance. Prior to the arrival of the birds, selected existing poultry houses at the camp were renovated to provide suitable facilities for the project. The presentation of the 500 fowls at the Krisan Refugee Camp was received on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Refugee Board, Hon. Nana Asare Bediako, by the Regional Coordinator and Management of the Camp.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has donated decommissioned passport-processing equipment valued at GH¢539,574 to the Ghana Refugee Board to support its operations. The items include four passport printers, four lamination machines, four Canon cameras, one Epson receipt printer and two signature pads. The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, said the donation was part of efforts to strengthen collaboration among state institutions and support the Refugee Board in fulfilling its humanitarian mandate. Speaking at a ceremony to hand over the equipment, Mr Ablakwa commended the Ghana Refugee Board for its role in providing protection and assistance to people displaced by conflicts, disasters and political challenges.

The Ghana Refugee Board extends its heartfelt appreciation to RIDNE CONSULTIUM, Ukrainian Community in Ghana, led by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Ghana, QATAR Charity and TUDEC for their generous donation to support vulnerable refugees affected by the recent floods in Accra. The donation, received on 8th July 15th July and 22nd July 2026 respectively included locally manufactured rice by RIDNE, Perla Mineral Water, toiletries, pasta, oats, cooking oil, clothing, paper towels, and other essential relief items.
